Austin, Texas is a city that truly does not sleep. Why would it when there is so much to do? Between leading environmental movements (Austin’s been integral to the evolution of LEED and Sustainable Sites Initiative), partaking in the creative scene (Austin claims more than 1,900 local bands, 200 music venues, and more than half million attendees a year at music or art festivals), and networking with other entrepreneurs (voted by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top ten best cities to be an entrepreneur) there is very little time left to watch grass grow. However, travel just 20 minutes into the Hill Country and you too can make an art of relaxing by floating down one of the scenic rivers, passing time in a rocking chair on a farmhouse porch, or going for a dip in a spring fed swimming hole.
Design Workshop's Austin office specializes in urban design, community planning, and sustainable landscape architecture.
Inspired by the city’s creative energy and entrepreneurial spirit, the Austin office has used the Legacy Design approach and incorporated metrics in new and creative ways to elevate our clients’ projects to the highest levels. Since 2008, the Austin office has been recognized with numerous awards from professional organizations such as ASLA and APA at both state and national levels for our outstanding work on design and planning projects for both the private and public sector. The Austin office also strives to promote a balance between work and life so our employees can partake in the dynamic social scene offered by this vibrant city.
