Design Workshop Wins Design Competition

Design Workshop has been awarded a Design Competition for Symphony Park at Union Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. The design of Symphony Park is the result of the integration of multiple elements, programs and audiences into a landscape composition organized by the four DW Legacy Design® circles – Art, Community, Economics, and Environment. It will be the premier public open space of downtown Las Vegas.

Colorado Homes & Lifestyles' named Design Workshop the Editor's Choice for The Best Landscape Designer in Colorado. This honor comes at the heels of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) selection of Design Workshop as the 2008 ASLA Landscape Architecture Firm of the Year, the highest award the Society presents each year.

Design Workshop Foundation Donates Landscape Architecture Services for Excelsior Youth Center

The Design Workshop Foundation has been busy facilitating donations and donating landscape architecture and installation services for the campus garden design of the Excelsior Youth Center in Aurora, CO. Design Workshop Foundation volunteers, with the help of many generous donors, have organized over $45,000 in donations of trees, shrubs, perennials, irrigation, benches, design services and manpower.

Design Workshop to Receive ASLA Top Firm Award; Company's Founder Receives Top Landscape Architect Medal

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has selected Design Workshop to receive the 2008 ASLA Landscape Architecture Firm Award, the highest award the Society presents each year. Fittingly, at the same award ceremony, one of Design Workshop's founders, Joseph A. Porter will receive the ASLA Medal, the highest honor bestowed upon a landscape architect for his lifetime achievements and contributions to the profession, the welfare of the public, and the environment.

Design Workshop's 2008 Summer Internship Kicks Off in Denver

Beginning June 3, Design Workshop will host an intensive design charrette to kick off it's annual summer internship program. Ten top students from around the country will come together to focus on Denver's renowned retail shopping district - Cherry Creek North.
