Internship Design Project Kicks-off

We are excited to be rolling out a distinctly collaborative project to create a master plan for the Lowell Ponds recreation area in Adams County, Colorado. What’s distinctive about this particular project? For seven weeks, our fabulous Spring interns will be teaming up with our Dr. Charles Fountain interns for a virtual and in-person design project. Each week we will give you a sneak peek of their progress and experience – from engagement to form giving, it will be full speed ahead! Learn more about each of our wonderful interns below.

Ayana Belk is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Kansas State University’s five-year master of landscape architecture program. Ayana is will sit in the Houston office, and her first day as an intern was Monday February 1st. Welcome Ayana!

Cana Boudreaux is a fourth-year student pursuing his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU. Cana Boudreaux will sit in the Denver office and his first day as a Spring Intern was Monday, January 11th. Welcome Cana!

Ashton Breeding is a fourth-year student pursuing her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU. Ashton will sit in the Aspen office and her first day as a Spring Intern was Monday, January 11th. Welcome Ashton!

Alice Calmon is pursuing her master’s degree from University of Oklahoma and she graduates in May 2021. She is a 2020 LAF Olmstead Scholar!  Alice is working remote with the Chicago office, and her first day as an intern was Monday, February 1st. Welcome Alice!

Austin Carbo is a fourth-year student pursuing his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU. Austin Carbo will sit in the Aspen office and his first day as a Spring Intern was Monday, January 11th. Welcome Austin!

Emily Couture is a fourth-year student pursuing her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU. Emily Couture will sit in the Aspen office and her first day as a Spring Intern was Monday, January 11th. Welcome Emily!

Taylor Davis is pursuing her master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Texas, and she graduates in May 2021.  She also has a bachelor’s degree in feminist studies with a focus in law, politics and social change and environmental studies with a focus in agroecology. Taylor is sitting in the Austin office, and her first day as an intern was November 9th. Welcome again Taylor!

Andy Diaz is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia and he graduates in May 2021. Andy Diaz is working remote with the Aspen office, and his first day as an intern was Monday, February 1st. Welcome Andy!

Anjelyque Easley is pursuing her master’s degree in landscape architecture from University of Texas at Arlington and she graduates this coming Fall. She is a 2019 LAF Olmstead Scholar recipient of the $15,000 undergraduate prize!  Anjelyque Easley is working remote with the Tahoe office, and her first day as an intern was Monday, February 1st. Gabe Jenkins is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Clemson University and he graduates in May 2021. Gabe Jenkins is working remote with the Los Angeles office, and his first day as an intern was Monday February 1st. Welcome Gabe!

Shykeem Lloyd is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Shykeem Lloyd is working remote with the Lake Tahoe office and his first day as an intern was Monday, January 11th. Welcome again Shykeem!

Jalen Miller has a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Jalen Miller is working remote with the Aspen office, and his first day as an intern was November 30th. Welcome again Jalen!

Daniella Slowik is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Washington and she graduates is May 2022. Daniella is working remote with the Denver office, and her first day as an intern was Monday, February 1st. Welcome Daniella!
