Titletown Plaza

Green Bay, Wisconsin

Creating four seasons of fun for legendary Lambeau Field

If you’re a resident of Green Bay, Wisconsin, it’s likely that the Packers football team plays a significant role in your life. On Sundays between September and February, the whole town gathers at Lambeau Field. The challenge was activating the area on non-game days. Design Workshop worked with Rossetti Architects to create a public plaza that would extend Lambeau Field’s community impact throughout the year.

Today, the 35-acre mixed-use development is a year-round entertainment district. In the winter, there’s a 60-foot tall snow-tubing hill and an 18,000 square foot ice rink. In summer, it transforms into a multi-use space with concerts, climbing walls and a destination playground. On opening day, the design team saw the evidence of the park’s success; the plaza was full of people – young and old, couples and families – enjoying the day and celebrating in the familiar green and gold.
